Practicing Physicians Practing physicians may take advantage of our continuing medical education offerings, or our visitor programs. Palliative Medicine Fellows CPS offers one of the largest and most rigorous palliative medicine fellowships in the United States. Read more . . . Medical Students Third year medical students at UCSD School of Medicine all spend one-day-a-week for 4 weeks at SDHPC. Through a formal program designed specifically for them (based on the CPS Palliative Medicine Curriculum), they are introduced to both inpatient and home-based palliative care. Many first year medical students choose SDHPC for their ride-along experiences. Students at all stages are invited to pursue electives through CPS. Read more . . . Medical Residents Almost all residents training in family and internal medicine in San Diego County spend a variable amount of time at SDHPC learning about palliative care.
